ABOUT US and Our Program    

Career Marketing Specialists Inc. (CMS) is a Canadian owned and operated boutique style corporate outplacement company that has been providing career services to all levels employees since 1981. We work with our candidates on a personal, one-on-one basis; never charge a fee when they are re-hired and protect the privacy of all the parties concerned. Corporate Outplacement is our only interest and the service is therefore not open to the general public.

Canada-wide. CMS has a network of independent service providers across the country. Each one is a qualified professional counsellor with a minimum of eight years experience in career counselling and the CMS program in particular. Said counsellors are available for face to face office meetings with candidates and/or HR personnel in the following locations...

Toronto and Southern Ontario, Sudbury, Ottawa, Vancouver, Victoria, Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Regina, Winnipeg, Montréal, Québec City, Sherbrooke, Moncton, Saint John, Halifax, St. Johns.

Remote and International Outplacement Support. Video conferencing extends our service to people living and working outside the country (and in remote areas like the Canadian far north etc). The video conferencing program uses the same scheduled meeting times with CMS staff, and the same job search techniques, program material and counselling expertise that we have honed and perfected over the last 30 years. Increasingly, we hear that our candidates find this method of delivery more convenient, greener and less expensive than commuting to counsellors offices. Actually, in the context of outplacement counselling, video conferencing is proving very effective and efficient irrespective of where job seekers live, i.e. across town - or on the other side of the world. If needed, we help candidates install the free “Skype” software required for two way video communications.
